Is this the beginning of admittance to being a burgeoning Peorian?

I’ve abandoned blogger for a new home here on BlogPeoria!

Yay!

Does this mean you will actually post more often?

Thanks for the vote of confidence, HK.

As you may have notices member-uploaded avatars are not displaying. I’ve submitted a request for assistance at the Buddy Press forum and I’m asked my hosting company to look into it.

    Solution soon, I think.

And the good folks at WPWebhost have solved the problem by changing rewrite rules in .htaccess. Woo Hoo!

And here, I thought it was me!
Now, as along as no one minds Jesus giving everyone the finger, we’ll be OK!

Next question, how can I upload a different wordpress theme, should I come across one that isn’t hosted here?

I think I’m going to have no choice BUT to post more often, now Ramble!!

    Which is a good thing!

There’s currently no way for a lowly user to upload a theme. Heh heh heh (seriously, it’s a security thing programmed into the WPMu platform)

But I am very flexible, and will upload themes and plugins that member users want to use.

WordPress maintains a repository of themes:

Browse away and me know if there are any you like.

I will. You have some great ones here, but some don’t support widgets so well, and I wouldn’t be proficient in enough in altering the code, even if I had access to it.

If you encounter themes that do not support widgets, tell me and I will toss them out. I don’t have time to test them all, and some slip through my comprehensive vetting process (which is; Does it look pretty?”).

Next time I got through them, I’ll take note and let you know.
I tried all the black color based ones and that’s where I found a few that supported none, without a code addition, or that didn’t support all the widgets I’m using
